I know I’ve said it here before, but I have some really talented friends. When the friends are coworkers who happen to be my favorite photographer to work with then it’s even better. Here’s a taste of the just launched site for James Trevenen Photography. Some of my favorite shoots and traveling for work have been with James, most recent being this holiday shoot with Kate Pietka and Ashley Johnson seen above. Check out his site for more work from one of Chicago’s best photographers.
Vikki Blows brought some people to the site in 2011, and it’s time to do some changes around here so I figured we should start the year off right with a full on gallery of my favorite photos from one of my favorite models. Here’s to a great new year here at Panic Films! Make sure to subscribe and get on that RSS Feed for all the new updates. Continue reading ‘Vikki Blows Gallery’
I love this. It’s the audio from the trailer of The Dark Knight Rises with visuals synced from The Lion King. Nice way to start the work day and the new year on a slow and snowy, cold day at work.
I have awesome and talented friends. My friend Keith made this Holiday special starring his 2 new characters Lenny and Rocko. I helped on post production audio and he was gracious enough to credit me in the video. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
I hope everybody reading this has an amazing 2012. I’m excited for 2012 and growing the web site and you should expect a lot of exclusive posts and premiers on Panic Films in the new year.
p.s.
If you’re in Chicago and want a great party, I’ll be DJ’ing PANIC! NYE at darkroom with Pogo, Trancid, and Kamar. Cover is $15 and will definitely be a good time.
I paid a visit to Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield the other day and took these photos with Vignette on my phone while playing some fun games.
This Tron photo is my favorite because it started as a double exposure then something happened in the upload from the flickr app on my phone that the bottom of the image got all messed up, but I love it. Continue reading ‘Galloping Ghost Arcade’
Hello! Hope everybody had a great Christmas. The time has come for change here on the site and new and exciting possibilities are upon us. All that’s missing is you. As we’re looking forward to the new year and new projects, we’d like to invite you to submit yourself, your work, or your project to the site! You can find more info about what we’re looking for here.
Here’s a list (in alphabetical order) of my favorite music of 2011:
Chapel Club – Palace – I discovered this band from London through Suede’s twitter. Turns out Chapel Club was opening for Suede so I looked up who this band was and I loved what I heard on Youtube, and then the CD was played non-stop at work, in the car, iPod, and at home. There’s hints of The Smiths, Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen, and the recent bands they’ve inspired but still Chapel Club does their own thing that I really appreciate.
Sci-fi blog io9 recently turned me on to this amazing Left 4 Dead fan film that as they say goes crazy in the last act. This has some of the best cameos I’ve seen in a long time. I love making-of’s so here’s a really interesting and inspiring making-of video that shows just what can happen with some talented people working together with a low budget with no profit.
One of my favorite things about Bravo’s Work of Art show is Simon de Pury. He’s always so encouraging to the artists and his accent is just awesome. You have to giggle when he would say “Hello Sucklord!” to toy artist/Star Wars freak Sucklord. I’d love to have an alarm clock of him yelling “Be bold! Be inspired! Be amazing today!”
