New Trailers – Batman Arkham Origins & Pacific Rim

May 16, 2013

It’s only a teaser of the new Batman Arkham Origins game but it’s a good one. We see a beautiful, but so so short cinematic of Batman fighting Deathstroke, who is new to the series and to me. I think I’ll have to dig into a couple graphic novels soon to find out more about this Deathstroke gentleman.

Pacific Rim again blows me away with this new trailer showing more giant robot vs giant monsters an boats as bats action. I love it. Yep. That’s all I got. Watch it in HD. GO!

Micro Mayhem

Micro Mayhem! from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios on Vimeo.

Top Gear posted this awesome video today on Facebook. It’s called Micro Mayhem and it’s by Stoopid Buddies Stoodios, the people behind Robot Chicken. This is the best, and only Micro Machines animated toy car chase video I’ve ever seen. That said, I’d love to see many more!

Model Wife – Episode 9 is out!

May 4, 2013

It’s Saturday morning and I’m happy to see that a new episode of one of my favourite web series, Model Wife is up! As always, the guys are hilarious and Karme Boixadera looks gorgeous, and the show is very well written. Of course, the ending totally has me waiting for the next episode to see what happens. Check it out, and subscribe to their channel!

Project Kronos

Project Kronos from Hasraf HaZ Dulull on Vimeo.

Project Kronos is an amazing short sci-fi film I found today on Vimeo, and produced by Masked Frame Pictures. It’s well shot, has fantastic sound design and motion graphics, not to mention a great and well written story. Enjoy, and I’ll see you in the future.

Tokyo City Symphony

May 1, 2013

Tokyo City Symphony is an amazing music, video, improvisational experience. What you do is use your keyboard to play the music samples and 3D projection mapping on a small model of the city. You record it and share to Facebook and Twitter and you can watch yours along with everybody else’s on the site. I only wish it would record to a file or an individual Youtube link.

PANIC! photos from 4-26-13

April 30, 2013

Panic0426_4
I love Jeremy’s poster for this month’s PANIC! and I think a lot of other people did too as it was stolen off the walls of Beauty Bar a couple of times. Here’s some of the rest of the photos from the night. I enjoyed my set and love that people danced to the new SULK tune “Flowers”. I’m all about playing new music and bringing in new artists into our sets.

Pacific Rim – Con Footage

April 30, 2013

I didn’t think I could be more excited about Pacific Rim but this trailer from WonderCon is just amazing. Damn. It looks like Guillermo Del Toro has set a new standard here. There’s a lot of robot vs monster action in this trailer and goddamn, the ending shots of the robot using a fucking giant boat like a baseball bat against a monster made me laugh with joy. The fact that I just typed that last sentence makes me smile.

Pacific Rim opens July 12, 2013. See you at the theater.

Photo Dump: C2E2 2013

April 29, 2013

c2e2-2013

I went to C2E2 this weekend and shot these awesome photos. I had a lot of fun with friends, saw some great costumes, found the Batman figure by DC Comics from Arkham City that I’ve wanted for a while and even a Robocop figure that was a great deal I couldn’t resist. It was nice running into my friend Titania Lyn who was working a booth called I Love Boobies, and don’t we all? In the photos, check out the progress of the guy making the giant chalk drawing on the floor over the 4-5 hours that I was there. I also met artist Stephen Burger, who sold me a copy of his first and new graphic novel called Talk! and a signed print of a zombie Marilyn Monroe. Pretty damn cool.

Recent Kodak VR35 film photos

April 24, 2013

april 2013 kodakvr35-15

I shot some new photos recently with my 35mm Kodak VR35 film camera. My friend Keith dubbed it the Darth Vader camera because it kinda looks like Darth Vader. I spent some time walking in the Loop the other night and documenting the demolition of the house across the street from me. I would guess that the 2 flat house was around 100 years old. I felt I had to take photos of it’s final hours. There’s a timelapse video in the works as well, but that’s for another post. For now, let’s enjoy the rest of the photos.
