Atari Teenage Riot “Blood in my Eyes”

Atari Teenage Riot posted a new single today called “Blood in my Eyes” from the upcoming album “Is This Hyperreal?”. It’s free. It’s good. Get it and play it loud.

New Videos From Philipp Virus

Philipp Virus is one of my favorite video directors. Ever since seeing his work with Atari Teenage Riot and the artists on the Digital Hardcore Label in the 90′s, I’ve been a big fan. I saw these 2 videos on my Youtube subscriptions today so I thought I’d share. Good to know he’s still doing work.

Atari Teenage Riot Live in Chicago

After being a fan of Atari Teenage Riot for so long, I finally got to see them on Friday at Bottom Lounge. I think the big grin on my face and goosebumps meant it was a great show. I heard all the songs I wanted to hear, enjoyed a few minutes of noise and strobe lights, but my only disappointment came from not seeing Hanin Elias with them. Still, they lived up to and exceeded all my expectations and I was a happy man. Then on Saturday I saw James at The Vic. Sadly, I have no photos from that show. Add Chapterhouse, airiel, and Ulrich Schnauss at Lincoln Hall, and it made for a damn fine weekend of live music in Chicago. Here’s a photo of ATR and more after the jump.

Weekend Wrap Up

Lots of stuff from the past week and instead of putting up several posts, I decided to just dump a big one on here… so here we go:

I saw Iron Man 2 last night. It was better than the first one. It could have been maybe one fight scene longer or just a longer final fight would have made it extra awesome. However, they do say “leave them wanting more”. Good cast (Downey Jr., Shandling, Jackson, Paltrow, Rourke, Rockwell, Cheadle, etc..), but maybe not enough of Scarlet Johansson in her Black WIdow outfit. Is there ever really enough of that? Now I kind of want to pay a visit to Chicago Comics and look up the Avengers and read up more about Iron Man. Also there’s a good surprise at the end of the credits that the fanboys behind me seemed very excited about. Recommended.
*Thanks to DJ Qbot for fact checking.
