I’m DJ’ing 2 gigs on Thursday night. This should be a blast! I’ll be doing a Morrissey/The Smiths set at Neo and keep the party going till 4am.
Here’s the flyer for the Hot Chip record release party at PANIC! with guest DJ’s Scary Lady Sarah and DJ Misa. We’re very excited to finally have these 2 lovely ladies as guest DJ’s. I think it’s going to be a great night!
I discovered this “trailer” today doing research on Youtube for work. It was made for Kevin Dart’s new book: Seductive Espionage: The World of Yuki 7 and I love it. I’m a sucker for anything even vaguely resembling 60′s spy movies and this art and animation style. The Art of The Title Sequence has a great interview with the creators here. I recommend reading it after you watch the trailer.
The Editors show at The Vic was awesome last night. The new more electronic songs mixed well with the older rock songs and neither disappointed. I was worried the electronic songs wouldn’t be good live but they sounded fantastic. I didn’t get any pictures but here’s a video of them performing one of last night’s encores “Papillon” from Later with Jools Holland.
We’re currently planning the next PANIC! party for February 27th. A guest DJ and awesome giveaways are in the works. I’ll post info when we’re ready. In the meantime, check out the above photo and others from last month’s PANIC! over on the night’s flickr page.
As much as I loved the way-too-short Halo 3 ODST, I didn’t love the Halo Wars strategy game. I tried to like it, really I did!
Lucky for me there’s a new Halo game coming out! Check out this video for Halo: Reach coming to the XBOX 360 later this year. The game already looks great. I can’t wait to see more updates and lose hours of my life playing it.
Finally saw this SFW video of Mila Kunis from esquire.com and I like it. A lot. The music is pretty awesome too.
Editors have a well shot and choreographed new video for “You Don’t Know Love” from the new album In This Light and On This Evening. I’m looking forward to seeing them on Monday. I’ve never seen them live.
Better than the above video, I think, is their Google Street View hack of London!
