This weekend’s fun was well documented by my mobile phone and Diana camera. Here’s what happened: The Handsome Devilz played at Navy Pier. They played 2 sets but because of work, we were only able to see the 2nd set. A great show as always and in a great setting. I need to get over to Navy Pier again this summer.

We then walked over to the loop and saw the Tony Tasset “Eye” and laughed at these guys who were smoking pot and heckling the Lollapalooza crowd as they walked by. I walked back to the Chicago brown line stop and finished my roll of film at the Cadillac Palace Theater.
On Saturday we saw The Cribs at The Cubby Bear. Warpaint opened and killed it. A special treat was to see Johnny Marr so close and so great with The Cribs. I’m definitely going to listen to more of these bands.
On my LA visit I stopped by the Lomography store and bought some film and looked around. So many fun cameras to check out, photos to look at, and all kinds of cool lenses and accessories. I got my latest roll of film back shot with the Diana F+ camera yesterday. Here’s one of my favorites, shot at the Blow the Speakers party at Subterranean on April 15th. I’m finishing up the video that I’ll post here very soon. Till then, the rest of my Diana photos are here.
I took some more Diana F+ photos in Chinatown last weekend with Keith and Tim and got the film back today. The best of the bunch are now on the flickr site.
Started a Flickr page for myself last week. Been having fun taking photos with the Diana F+ camera and my cell phone so I thought I’d put them up and see what happens. I’m digging the medium format Diana photos but I’ve become spoiled by the digital world and miss the instant gratification of digital cameras. Then again, I love the film, the chemicals, and not knowing what the photo will look like.
