Chicago has a new label and it’s called Dead 2 Me Records. They’ve just released their new mix tape that’s currently blasting in my ears. Go here to download it and check out the track list. Summer starts as soon as you hit play on your iTunes.

Saturday’s PANIC! was pretty fun. Guest DJ’s Victor Lua and Ron Solera tore it up and MANBQUE filled our bellies with some food. These are some of the photos I took.

The Horrors – Still Life
Mat Osman from Suede posted a link to this on Twitter today: The Horrors have a new single here called “Still Life” from their new album “Skying” which comes out on July 26th. That date also happens to be my mom’s birthday. Happy Birthday Mom, there’s a new The Horrors coming at ya!
Saturday! PANIC!
ZAC Fashion is heating up our Sunday here at Panic Films posting this video of Kate Upton for a new campaign by Guess Lingerie. I love the black & white, the pacing, well placed close up shots, and Kate’s just bringing the heat.
ACEN 2011
I went to my first Anime Central. today with my friend Steve. Here’s some photos I took. I kind of wish I had more time to see the rest of what was going on because the event was so damn big but for a day of fun, awesome costumes, toys, anime, and good times, this was great.
This kind of speaks for itself, but if I must post a link to an explanation, this was on The Atlantic.
Chapel Club
I love discovering new bands. Chapel Club is a great band who’s opening for Suede’s 3 nights of album shows and they’re pretty amazing. At first listen they reminded me of Rialto and I’m not at all surprised that they’d open for Suede. I’ve already ordered their album, which I can’t wait to listen to over and over. Also, to help share the love, I had to include this free song widget from their site. Enjoy!
Here’s a lovely and oh so dark video for “Into the Depths” from The Soft Moon via Pitchfork.
I’m not gonna lie. I love this. It reminds me of Luis Buñuel’s “Un Chien Andalou”, especially the famous eyeball scene. If you don’t know that movie, get to Google asap. Also the black and whites remind me of The Warlocks “The Mirror Explodes” album cover. Good stuff right there too.
